Accurate this is a USB 3.1 5Gbps hub with built in Gigabit Ethernet adapter using AXIX AX8817 USB 3 to GigE adapter. works fine with external Hard disk self powered and bus powered Flash based thumb drives. Getting the same drive performance from the thumb drives as if the were plugged in directly. 0.3 amp draw with three thumb drives and Gigabit Ethernet in use. I was testing out the Hub with my Lenovo Thinkpad running an intel i7 with Windows 10. Now I know the power numbers for the Hub will be attaching it to my fire stick 4K to see how that works out next. needed to understand power draw no to damage usb wall wart or firestick. Maximim you can get from a non PD wall wart is 1.7 amps although some will source over 2 amps no issue. Thats what I'm using just to be safe So far hub has exceeded expectatilns only missing data point is recommendations for external power supply for the hub. It has a barrel connector but no data that Ive found so far.
